I was a caterpillar who transitioned into a butterfly and I identify myself as a human.

The genesis of my pro bono Advocacy and Public Speaking engagements, is my metamorphosis, my journey of gender transition to embrace my true self, to embrace womanhood. Through my conversations, I help humans see humans by breaking their cocoons which could be filled with stereotypes, biases and prejudices.

I am described as a Change Agent and through my advocacy on prestigious platforms such as TedX, NASSCOM, SHRM and many Multi-National Corporations and various Educational Institutions, I hope that it will lead not just individual changes in terms of behaviors and attitudes but can also lay the foundation of the systemic changes that need to happen in the society.

“I sensed my spirit piercing through the enveloping gloom. I felt it transcend that hopeless, meaningless world, and from somewhere I heard a victorious “Yes” in answer to my question of the existence of an ultimate purpose,” Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning.

I wish, my being visible can help individuals, especially those struggling with gender identity, sexual orientation, find a ray of hope, worthiness to be happy. My passion brews into conversations with and for women empowerment and other lesser represented people through intersectionality.

Inclusion is all about Equal Opportunity and Equity. I dream to live in a world where no one has to ‘come out’ of any closet, where organizations don’t have to form ERGs across the various aspects of diversity to create a more equal work environment, where no one has to furbish any surgical document to get the gender marker which they identify with on the legal documents, where none is asked to select any radio button against gender or other aspects which inadvertently compartmentalize.

My parents have been my biggest support system, my cheerleaders in my journey and I give them the entire credit for the balance, for who I was and am, especially for still having been able to retain a sane mind. My stress constantly found an equal opposition in the love I constantly got from my parents, my sisters and friends. They held me tight through that darkest of times when I was just an inch away from collapsing.

By sharing the story of my parents, of my family I aspire to embolden others to do the same!!

My journey is riveting, emotional, and a revolutionary act of defining dreams, determination, and hopes in my life.
